Initially created to support our community’s efforts to address conflict that arose over issues surrounding policing in the community, Restorative Resources offers and recommends the In C.I.R.C.L.E Program to any group or groups that are having difficulty hearing each other and preventing the creation of solutions and/or reaching resolutions. This program was intentionally designed to work with smaller groups of participants with strongly held opinions and mindsets that were at an impasse or where communications were stalled. Through small cohorts of listening circles, the objective is to move the discussion toward actionable items that can heal without hindered conversations or further polarization in those relationships.
Our team will help clarify the issue(s) to be addressed and determine who needs to be involved. Once identified, we will meet with stakeholders separately to help each party to gain awareness of impacts felt and needs going forward; to then prepare the parties for productive face-to-face dialogues. In C.I.R.C.L.E Program intends to increase awareness of felt impacts, resultant needs, and ultimately create agreements that support healing for all involved. Our intent is to help the participants experience a way to peaceably address on-going issues that arise around relationships and conduct the necessary restorative dialogues to arrive at a plan that addresses on-going conflict.
