As a scholar and advocate of social justice, I believe that the current dominant systems of penal and civil control cause more harm than they prevent, whereas Restorative Justice heals that harm. Restorative Resources draws on and applies this principle on the ground.

Dr. Tosouni earned her Ph.D. in Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California at Irvine. She also holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Long Beach State and a law degree from the University of Athens, Greece. Her areas of expertise include Feminist Criminology, Law and Inequality, and Restorative Justice.
